Theatre is also a place for sports. On stage it tells stories of victories and defeats, about competition and team spirit, the enthusiasm, dedication, invincibility and fragility. Sports and Theatre create dramatic tension and have a lot of emotional potential. Both require good physical and mental readiness of its players, intense exercises, good communication and cooperation between the players and team spirit, purposeful movements of the bodies, live performances in front of an audience ... Performing arts and sports are naturally very close. There exists even a form of theatre that is a sport, where players compete in different disciplines according to specific rules of the game. At the workshop we will look for similarities between theatre and sports, get to know theatre sports and try out some theatre techniques, with which we can encourage the development of social and communication skills, as well as values, that are important for sports, theatre and, of course, for life.
