THE EUROPEAN CULTURAL HERITAGE DAYS AND THE CULTURAL HERITAGE WEEK A WHEEL WHERE THE PAST COMES ACROSS THE FUTURE Children will be discovering a wheel and learn about it... o WHEEL as a CIRCLE – a symbol of life, linking people together... a wheel as the place of movement, sowing ang harvesting... a wheel as a symbol of protection. o WHEEL as a CIRCLE OF TIME – when everything revolves and changes and offers us a look at the past that is reflected in our present and is leading us into the future. o WHEEL as a WATERMILL – for grinding grain that makes people survive. o WHEEL as a geometric figure - a surface limited by its circumference . o WHEEL as a national folk dance - that is representing our dance tradition. o WHEEL as a means of transportation/ motion. Children and teachers will introduce new knowledges and realizations at the closing event representing creative workshops in all 3 organizational units of the kindergarten Vrtec Otona Župančiča Maribor.
