The book of bean recipes presents the importance of autochthonous plants for the preservation of biodiversity, preserving the cultural heritage in the culinary field, presenting to the wider public and our descendants the importance of preserving the beans and the use of beans for various preparations of the meal. Beans should become an important protein in our everyday diet, as it has high nutritional value and positive effects on our health. The book presents several varieties of beans in Slovenia, some of which are indigenous, such as bean ribničan. The collection of recipes (69) enriches our culinary cultural heritage while significantly influencing the understanding of beans as one of the more neglected vegetables in recent times. Especially exposed bean is ribničan who, due to the new way of food production, almost completely disappeared from our menus. His production has dropped drastically, and now we are trying to recognize it as one of the more interesting varieties of beans in Slovenia. Because Ribnicas's people are also known for their humor, the cookbook differs from others by the fact that in addition to tasty recipes, includes the collection of Slovene proverb in their dialect and brings to the recipes also some humor. The presentation of the project will be enriched with the tasting of various bean dishes, including the famous bean cake, which was the reason for preparing this kind of cookbook. We will offer visitors a book of bean recipes, Ribnica's dialect and tasting of delicious bean dishes in one place.
