Event description
Guided tours of Štanjel and new Lojze Spacal exhibition in his gallery in Štanjel during which we will discover his motifs in their natural environment. Lojze Spacal was among the first artists to recognize the value of the Karst cultural heritage, recreating and transferring it through his artistic depictions to various exhibitions acclaimed worldwide. Spacal collected and represented his ancestor’s heritage when the local inhabitants of the Karst demolished their stone walls only to replace them with new concrete ones.
