Senior Curator Tea Rogelj will talk about the series of e-xhibitions, titled From our Collections. With the series SLOGI – Theatre Museum presents the history of the Slovenian theatre to present and future e-visitors. SLOGI – Theatre Museum has in the several past years prepared a series of e-xhibitions that are available at http://repertoar.sigledal.org/razstave and http://www.slogi.si/. The cybernetic world does not enable us with a direct contact with the art/exhibits. The introduction of e-xhibitions does not try to replace the usual material form of museum exhibitions , it however makes it possible for us to: attract visitors who do not frequent museums and galleries; offer remote access to physically handicapped and locally distant users; talk to younger audiences of the y and z generations; enable an easier and unlimited access to researchers; experience greater freedom in display (due to the virtually unlimited exhibition space available), it allows the possibility of subsequent corrections and supplements to the exhibition; the exhibited material automatically becomes part of the worldwide online collection Europeana. All of this without big financial contributions.
