Heritage around and among us As a part of interdepartmental project “A week of cultural heritage” our kindergarten Plavček by Primary School Tišina is going to prepare an event called Heritage around and among us. The event is going to take place in the courtyard of Primary School Gederovci. Its building is also a part of cultural heritage which we are very proud of. The event is going to take place on 7.10.2016 and will last three hours. It is going to start with a cultural programme which is going to include music, dancing and recitals that will take us back to the past. After that some practical workshops will take place. Children and adults can try to play on different folk instruments, make toys and play games children used to play. They can also build models of buildings which represent the cultural heritage of our community. We will dress up as knights, make knight`s armour, swords and more. With the help of different women`s societies in our community we are going to prepare spreads with herbs and vegetables that are typical for our region. The whole event is going to be accompanied by traditional folk music. Each visitor is going to receive a booklet with information about the whole project from its beginning to the making of this event. The visitors will also get small souvenirs. Heritage is everywhere, around us and among us. It is important that we do not forget about it, cherish it and pass it on to our youngest , because in the future we will be their heritage.
