In the week of culture in October 2020, the pupils will become acquainted with the traditional architecture of Slovenia. Its uniqueness has already been forgotten, especially its greatness of design and diversity. Slovenian traditional architecture is based on many influences from neighbouring countries, and at the same time it contains the symbols of our country. The pupils will get to know the architecture first through excursions and interdisciplinary subject collaboration in visual arts, history and geography. Their artistic contribution will be the design of architectural models; hayracks, traditional houses (Gorenjska, Primorska, Prekmurje and Dolenjska houses) and various church bell towers, which form the traditional Slovenian landscape. The models will be put on display.
