Event description
The first female teacher was employed at the Novo mesto Gymnasium in the school year 1926/27. It was Elizabeza Soklič and she taught the subject of women's handicrafts. During the cultural heritage week, we want to revive the forgotten skills of manual skills at school. The workshops will be coordinated with the curriculum for women's handwork from 1927. Students will learn about the life of the first female teacher at our school and try crocheting, embroidery, knitting, sewing and other activities from the former curriculum.
