Traditional crafts and economic skills as well as knowledge and practices about nature and the world are very important intangible cultural heritage. Even in Kindergarten Koper, we are aware that rare and valuable traditional knowledge, skills, crafts and professions are increasingly disappearing and that it is precisely these knowledge and skills that are crucial for preserving our identity. We believe that already in kindergarten, we can convey to children the basics for perceiving the true value of these skills and arouse interest in learning about the various skills and professions that shape our tradition. Three of our units participate in the European Cultural Heritage Days project: Ribica, Čebelica and Žogica, which present valuable and rare knowledge, skills and professions to children through various activities already in the spring months. As usual, in the fall, we will present all our knowledge to the general public as part of an exhibition in the Sreček Vilhar Central Library, in the hall of the department for young readers. The exhibition will take place from September 23, 2023 to October 7, 2023.
