Alenka Kranjac is an author, teacher and folk singer from Koper, she is also a maker of crocheted dolls, for which she receveid a Certificate from the Chamber of Crafts of Slovenia. The workshop is suitable for primary school children from 8 to 14 years, which can also be attended by the parents and grandparents of the participating children, and in this way, it can also serve as an intergenerational get-together activity. The workshop program: 1. Making a cloth doll in Slovenian Istrian costume – Šavrinka 2. Basic skills required: threading, hand sewing, pleating, embroidery 3. Discussion about the workshop and the questions about making the doll get-together activity. The purpose of the workshop is to pass the knowledge of making a cloth doll in a costume. The focus is on the elements of the Istrian women's costume, the recognizable elements of which are the stove on the head, embroidered gloves, pleated tunic and apron. The participants can also use the acquired knowledge by later making varius dolls and thus develop their skills and become bearers of knowledge of this intangible heritage, as well as to learn how the costume is made.
