Event description
Alma M. Karlin (1889-1950), world traveller, writer, amateur explorer, polyglot, travelled the world in 1919-27. The nature of her journey places her among the greatest travellers of all time. We will stop by her statue in Krek Square, take a peek into her suitcase, and watch her journey in animated form at the TIC. In the library, we'll have a chat about her literary career while looking at the German originals. We will finish with reading excerpts in the Zvezda pastry shop over a typical Celje dessert, a Celje roll.
