Event description
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the death of Bertolt Brecht, who played a key role in twentieth-century theatre and remains highly relevant today, as uncertainty calls for radical thought. In collaboration among Slovenian institutions and international partners, the anniversary will be commemorated through an interdisciplinary project comprising a symposium, a book publication of new translations of Brecht’s writings, and exhibition events. The exhibition at the Slovenian Theatre Institute will highlight his aesthetic, ideological, and political influence on Slovenian theatre.
