The two-day event will focus on presenting traditional building crafts related to stonemasonry, carpentry, and the creation of brick latticework. It will take place on 2 and 3 October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore traditional stone details, carpentry joints, and decorative brick latticework, which once served both functional and aesthetic purposes on rural farm buildings but are gradually disappearing from our built environment. The workshops and demonstrations are intended for kindergarten children, primary school pupils, and all visitors interested in traditional craftsmanship and architectural heritage. A special feature of the event is that the workshops will be led by students of the Secondary School of Civil Engineering, Geodesy, Environmental Protection and Grammar School Ljubljana, who are being trained in the preservation and further development of traditional building crafts. The aim of the event is to showcase and preserve disappearing craft skills while raising public awareness of the importance of high-quality built environments, architectural heritage, and the transmission of knowledge between generations.
