Presentation meeting : September 28th 2017 at Elementary School Renče at 5 p.m • Project presentation »Žehta v Renčah« ( Doing the laundry in Renče) • Testing : water sampling and measuring water hardness • Research presentation: »Kraški svet in voda» ( karst world and water) • Exhibition of works of art on the theme of the Vipava river • Publishment of Haiku poetry collection European Cultural Heritage week A science week WATER: Within the week of ECH a special science week with its main theme WATER will be organized for 6th- 9th –grade pupils. • Pupils will explore the importance of water for karst world , sample and compare the the hardness of water taken from different sources in and around Renče and Vipava river. • Works of art will be created by different artists on the Vipava river banks. • Poets will form haiku poems about water. • Witnesses:  Mr. Boris Arčon, a former waterpolo player will take us on an imaginary tour into the past when children used to laern how to swim in the river. Under te bridge there was also a waterpolo pool.  Mr. Adam Stibilj, the son of an ex- mill - owner and miller will tell us something about the mill.  Mrs. Katjuša Žigon will talk about how people used to live here by the river. Finally , even kindergarten children have been working on a project how people used to do the laundry in the past. They tested themselves in trying how to wash the clothes, carrying the washing on their heads , they made soap and coils to carry heavy washing.
