On 28.9.2017 we are planning an event that will mark the autumn equinox (22.9.2017 at 20.02). The aim of the workshop is to create and launch ecologically constructed floating lights – illuminated rafts or boats that are well known in Slovenia as ''gregorčki'' and are traditionally launched on Gregorjevo – 12th of March, our traditional ''Valentine Day''. Our event will mark the beginning of the winter period with shorter days and will be like a request for some prolonged illumination of the darker period of the year. We will call these illuminated rafts ''ekonočki'', which comes from two Slovenian words – ekološki (ecological) and ekvinokcij (equinox) and is very hard to translate properly – perhaps ''econoxies''. The workshop will bring together our students and kindergarten and primary school children in the days of European cultural heritage, dedicated to water - ''Voda – od mita do arhitekture''.
